Has anyone some help for configuring this device? The entire device works well, exept for the "capture" option. It seems like I cannot get it to capture the sound of the mic. but I want to use Skype (or similar services). Any soultions? I am using Archlinux as distro and ALSA as sound driver. It seems more people with this sound chip have problems with it, but I cound not find real solutions.

Suspend resume issue on 600X
I cannot get sound after a resume on my 600X (running FC6) easily. I have to log out, "rmmod snd_cs46xx" and "modprobe snd_cs46xx" and then it's OK again. I can't rmmod while logged in because the Gnome desktop (or maybe the mixer) holds the device open.
I'd really like a way to automate that process, especially because that single feature keeps my wife from running Linux on HER 600X. All tips greatly appreciated. --Whizkid 20:57, 28 March 2007 (CEST)
Sound now works in openSUSE 10.2, now odd problem in WinXP
I couldn't get sound working in openSUSE 10.2 for quite some time. Tried everything I've seen online to no avail. In the BIOS I decided to set everything back to the defaults and now sound works fine (seems the only major change was in the PCI IRQ settings which were changed from Automatic to 11).
However, back in WinXP all system event sounds are at a fixed loudness that cannot be changed. I can bring up the mixer and move the sliders up/down and mute everything but it has no affect whatsoever. Sounds played through a media player are controllable but Windows' volume control will not work. Any ideas? Late night computing sessions are a problem with the loud sounds. --Marcdw 08:19, 21 February 2008 (CET)
