Damage in 56W AC-Adapter, plastic housing melted
Problem Description
Some 56W (also called 54 watt) adapters manufactured by Delta Electronics Inc. may suffer overheat, resulting in melting of adapter housing and charring of the circuit board inside the housing.
Only some pieces unites are affected: P/N 02K6549 (FRU P/N 02K6550), only if it has three hollow pins. No other IBM ThinkPad AC adapters are affected.

- ThinkPad i Series 1540, i Series 1541, i Series 1542, i Series 1560, i Series 1562, i Series 1592 (Machine Types 2621, 2651)
- ThinkPad i Series 1720, i Series 1721 (Machine Type 2627)
- ThinkPad 240 (Machine Type 2609, 2612)

- ThinkPad S30, S31 (Machine Types 2638, 2639)
