As of kernel 2.6.27, thinkpad-acpi bay/dock support is broken and must not be used.

As of kernel 2.6.27, bay batteries are well supported by the standard ACPI dock driver, they just work.

As of kernel 2.6.29 (but probably 2.6.27), even auto-eject of the battery is properly supported in-kernel, there is no need for any sort of userspace support.
