anybody tried exchanging batteries on a thinkpad?
The Idea to change the content of Battery Packs isn't that new at all. Did anyone try it so far? I've read about it 2 years ago in some mailing list, people announced it is possible, and said they will make photos of exchanging the battery. But so far, I haven't read about successful attempts on thinkpads (btw.: how about the battery cycle counter?)

Speaking as an electronics engineer, it is not nearly safe enough to tell people to do it like that. I have changed the text to something far more responsible. Jeez, some people will risk Litium fires (which are hard to extinguish) and explosions with blurning debris to save a few bucks...
