This is an Intel northbridge.

Some ThinkPads do not use PC-66/100/133 RAM modules, even if they came with this northbridge.
The northbridge is only capable of caching 64MB of RAM, so anything accessing after the first 64MB will be slow.

This chipset is supported by recent 2.4 and 2.6 kernels
