This problem also is present on a Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad T60. Tested with 2.6.21.5-slh-smp-2 on Debian Sid.

Someone [http://ygingras.net/b/2008/4/getting-sound-to-work-on-a-thinkpad-r60e managed] to get the sound back on Kubuntu Gutsy by upgrading the kernel to 2.6.24.4 and alsa to 1.0.16.

This problem also is present on a Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad T60. Tested with 2.6.21.5-slh-smp-2 on Debian Sid.

Someone managed to get the sound back on Kubuntu Gutsy by upgrading the kernel to 2.6.24.4 and alsa to 1.0.16.
